How it Works:
FTA Functional Training Academy – Tabata Workouts (LITE) is based on a modular
tabata workout system designed to give athletes an at home tool to train with. Open
the app, Follow Master Trainer Neil Miron through an intensive progressive tabata
workout earn points based on your frequency in completing the workouts to unlock
more workouts in the program. The only way to advance is to do the workouts… the
only way to unlock the workouts is to do the workouts guaranteeing results, as the
user is required to train in order to move forward. This not only holds the user
accountable but it also encourages them to workout more daily.
Tabata Timing Protocol:
-Workout your hardest for 20 seconds
-Rest for 10 seconds
-Complete 8 Rounds
About Neil Miron:
Neil Miron is a Master Trainer & Fitness Coach who began training in the martial art
of Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 6 and has been graded by UFC Legend Royce Gracie.
Neil strives in the education and physical advancement of athletes as well as
professional athletes.
Neil is a fitness writer and has written articles for newspapers, fitness magazines
and has published a fitness journal & Fitness book. Neil has won Top Trainer awards
and has been seen on Daytime TV and fitness Apps showcasing his training methods
and advanced techniques.
Neil trains top fitness models/competitors, Athletes, teams and MMA Fighters. He
Specializes in the art of scalability as he creates custom programs that fits the needs
of those who compete and Elite Level but with progressions so that those who don’t
compete at Elite Levels will be able to have a linear path to excel.
The history of Tabata:
Japanese scientist Dr. Izumi Tabata from the National Institute of Fitness and Sports
in Tokyo discovered Tabata training. The research was done on members of the
Japanese Olympic speed skating team. The research showed that by excelling at
100% of your output for 20 seconds of work and at a negative rest time of 10
seconds in an 8 round period your body reaches its MAX EPOC and your V02Max is
increased significantly. This simply meant that by completing 8 rounds of 20
seconds of work you burn calories up to 24 hours after your training because your
body is in recovery mode.
Research has shown that high intensity training is proven to out class steady state
training for many years now. Tabata on the other hand has shown that the 8 round
sequence of 20 seconds of high intensity work with a negative rest period gives you
the optimal results. This program is based on the Tabata Timing Protocol.
